Stop human trafficking

More than 500,000 women and girls are victims of human trafficking every year. On the occasion of the "60th anniversary of human rights", Amnesty International is emphasising this state of affairs so as to call attention to the necessity of human rights in general. There is no budget for for a large campaign. The issue therefore needs to be positioned in an eye-catching manner in as many different forms of media as possible. The idea: a truly spectacular campaign at airports from which no-one can look away.

Under the motto "Merchandise Man", a woman in a glass luggage case will be sent along the baggage conveyors at airports. Photo agencies, TV stations and editorial offices will be invited to this campaign – without being informed beforehand about what will happen. This campaign will ensure a major sensation among air passengers and achieve broad media coverage.
