Plan.Net Group opens the Plan.Net Innovation Studio in Munich

Digital assistants, artificial intelligence, body-machine interfaces, Internet of Things, augmented and virtual reality – the digital transformation is progressing at an ever-increasing pace. In line with the market dynamics, companies must continuously adapt their processes and optimise general conditions. The newly opened Plan.Net Innovation Studio provides a space for customers, employees and external partners to jointly use new ways of thinking and working to achieve rapid and tangible results in the area of digital communication, product and service approaches.

Munich, 19 October 2017 — The innovative capacity of the Plan.Net Group now has its own dedicated space: the Plan.Net Innovation Studio in the House of Communication in Munich. To allow the developments of the digital transformation to be used quickly and efficiently for customer solutions, the studio enables the collaborative development of concepts in the area of new digital communication, product and service approaches by means of a new type of cooperation between the agency, customers and external experts. Here, ideas are developed, made tangible in the form of prototypes and seen through to piloting.

The Innovation Studio team acts upon direct customer orders, but of course also supports all Plan.Net and Serviceplan agencies. With regard to technical innovations and product developments, there are two main services available to customers – design thinking workshops for brainstorming as well as development and prototyping for making ideas tangible and rapidly testing the usefulness and usability – as a basis for efficient project and product implementation. With these services, the studio consistently implements the integrated working method of the 14 agencies of the Plan.Net Group and brings to life the four operating principles for future viability – agility, collaboration, rapid prototyping and user centricity.

The Innovation Studio also acts as an interface for interdisciplinary and collaborative work with internal and external partners from relevant fields, such as science, technology and start-ups. At the same time, it serves as a showcase for the digital innovation of the Group. Here, the wealth of award-winning work is presented and serves as an inspiring and motivating backdrop for new projects. Innovation and entrepreneurial thinking and development of new solutions for the future – all of these are naturally in Plan.Net’s DNA.

The team at the Plan.Net Innovation Studio is led by Stephan Enders, Head of the Innovation Studio, who had already been working as Head of Mobile Marketing and an internal advisor on innovation. In addition to the permanent team, there is always room in the studio for colleagues from the House of Communication to work temporarily on joint solutions. "Nobody can implement innovation projects in isolation these days. We are an "open house” – new project teams consisting of colleagues from all agencies of the Group are continually being formed to achieve the best possible results for our customers," explains Stephan Enders.

Klaus Schwab, Managing Director of the Plan.Net Group, is convinced of the potential of the new establishment – "With the Plan.Net Innovation Studio, we have created a contemporary format to make the innovative capacity of the Group more easily and directly accessible – for our customers, but also for us as a group. The aim is to set the organisational and procedural obstacles to collaborative and agile cooperation on innovative concepts and products as low as possible. New and unusual ideas don't just materialise – it requires an environment that is conducive to creative and innovative thinking and enables the ideas to be tested out."
